Art Room Update

Winter break is a day away and my Middle School artists are still hard at work.  The creativity and superb talent is abundant!  Currently, our fifth graders are exploring the technique of collage as they work in creative teams illustrating fables in the style of Eric Carle.  Once we return from winter break, the collage scenes will be photographed and uploaded into Voicthread where each team will then complete the process of adding audio to create a digital story.  The sixth graders are in-progress drawing amazing cities using the technique of one-point perspective.  They really caught on quick, applying the rules successfully to create the city that will become the background image for their superhero project.  After break we will color, scan and digitally enhance their drawings using Adobe Photoshop.  Finally, our seventh graders have finished their artist clock paintings which are on display in the cabinets on the second floor.  They are now hard at work developing surreal world's using Adobe Photoshop.  I am always so impressed with the quality of work my students produce! I hope you all have an enjoyable winter break and find some time to be creative!
