The End is Near...

It's hard to believe we are in the last week of the school year!  We are winding down, yet I still have so much work to accomplish during the next few days.  First, however, I need to update my faithful readers and let you know that Thomas was awarded the Artist of the Week for the 4th-6th grade category on Artsonia! He won with 1,375 votes - so amazing that he had such great support!  A BIG thanks to all who voted!
I am also posting the final Smilebox of the year to showcase some examples of the last art binder assignment, "Me, Myself & I."  Students were required to create a self-portrait, either realistic or abstract, using any materials they wanted.  I hope you enjoy the wonderful variety and effort put forth by my students.
While I am very much looking forward to my summer as a mommy to my three little angels, I will definitely miss my students and the many opportunities I had each day to help them create such amazing works of art!
I look forward to hearing about all the ways they brought art into their summer vacations next fall.
