Art Room Update

Well, it's official, the first quarter is over! We finished the first round of parent teacher conferences last week and we are settling in to the second quarter.   My students have worked so hard this year, exploring so many fabulous materials like watercolor, clay, metal tooling, collage, printmaking, acrylic and tempera paints. I am blessed to have such dedicated and hard-working students.  They should all be so proud of what they have created so far this year, especially with such limited contact time!
Now that it is the second quarter, new quarterly art binder assignments are available on my Art Binder link. These are two new assignments that I've never done before, so I am looking forward to seeing some great new drawings.  The first quarter binder assignments were really successful as well, especially the Cup of Creativity. I thought I would share some of the more exciting submissions.  This assignment required students to take an everyday paper cup that I provided in class and to transform it into an original and unique work of art.  Check these out!
